Day 2: Ananuri-Gudauri-Kazbegi

Breakfast at the Hotel: Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel in Tbilisi.

Drive to Kazbegi : Embark on a journey to Kazbegi, following the Georgian Military Highway leading towards the Russian border. During the drive, you'll make several interesting stops:

Ananuri Castle Complex (XVI-XVII cc): Explore the historic Ananuri Castle complex, which used to be the residence of the Aragvi Dukes. The complex includes towers and a church, offering scenic views of Jinvali reservoir. You'll have a 30-45 minute stop here to enjoy the surroundings.

Gudauri: This town is a popular Georgian ski resort, and you'll have the opportunity to pause and capture the picturesque landscapes from a viewing platform. Gudauri is renowned for its stunning mountain scenery.

Gergeti Sameba: Once you reach Kazbegi, you have the option to switch to a 4x4 vehicle if you wish to visit the Holy Trinity Church Gergeti Sameba. This iconic church is the only cross-domed church in the region (Khevi) and dates back to the 14th century. It sits on an elevation and offers breathtaking views of Stepantsminda and Mount Kazbek (Mkinvari peak), especially on clear, sunny days. The cost for the 4x4 transfer is $30 per car, with each vehicle accommodating up to 6 passengers.

Return to Tbilisi: After your visit to the church or other activities in Kazbegi, you'll drive back to Tbilisi.

Overnight in Tbilisi: Spend the night at your hotel in Tbilisi.
